TGP or Thumbnail Gallery Posts have long been a very popular genre of porn sites. Small thumbnails gives the porn surfer the ability to quickly see what pictures he wants to click on to make them full size. TGP porn sites popularity lately have been declining because of the rise of free porn tubes. Kind of a TGP site only with videos instead. TGPs are still popular tho and a good way of marketing porn. Because of the high resolution of the porn compared with the low res bad quality videos on porn tubes. Many still prefer free porn pictures for that reason and some just like still photos better.

The Manual Way

There is many plugins and scripts that will help you make TGPs but here I will go to basics and let you know how i manually build TGPs. When creating it manually you increase the unique content you can add to every post. This means that your manually created site ultimately will be able to get more visitors and generate more revenue for you over the long run. Trying to get traffic from search engines will be much easier if you do it this way and create as much unique content as possible. Search engine traffic is high quality traffic that converts well. If you focus on other kind of traffic like social referral traffic or advertising on other websites etc you it’s not as important but will still be a benefit to the search engine bulk of your traffic.

Affiliate Programs with Many FHGs

The most important promo tool you want your affiliate programs have plenty of is FHGs Free Hosted Galleries. Downloadable zip photo sets works also but then you need to make sure that you get the link for the specific content on the premium porn site or at least the same site. You want to link to relevant content to increase the chances that your traffic will purchase premium access. With FHGs you can simply link to the FHG and know that the content is just an extension of exactly the same porn that your surfer was enjoying at your site.

Step by Step

Before you get started you need a porn web hosting provider. Note: I use WordPress and you might want to check out our free porn themes for it. When i create a TGP site I log in to my favorite (first until I’ve got the content i like there – then i move on to my next preferred affiliate program) and find the FHG promo tool. I then download a set number of pictures from the gallery and post them to my website. Using WordPress terminology here as that is my preferred CMS for this usage. For each image of the photo set/gallery i create unique name. Personally I like to grab 4 images for each gallery leaving good reasons for the visitor to click the “see more” affiliate link (coming to that link soon). I use a generic image name for 3 of the pictures for instance if my first name is “free sexy girl doing porn” then the other three images are named “free sexy girl doing porn 1,2,3″. I don’t think Google cares about the picture name so this is more just to keep things organized then a factor for bringing more traffic to the site. The more important thing to do is to give each image a good alternate text (ALT=”this should be a descriptive text”). ALT texts are read by search engines as text and descriptions for the image and will help drive traffic that is searching for the specific content to your site. I then copy the affiliate link to that gallery and post that the gallery. This is the link you want your visitors to click to make you commission so make it clear and visible but not too intriguing. From this link the visitor will be taken to preferably the full gallery with more images of the same porn scene or at least the site where the full porn video or gallery can be found.

Some Suggestions

With all the new TLDs that has been released you can really still find great domains. I would say that you could benefit from using the .pics TLD for your picture gallery site. Other good domains that you can use is .sexy and .sex, .xxx, .porn – the three latter is a little bit more expensive so you might want to begin making sites on these after you are “in the money” on the cheaper and still excellent TLDs.

Choosing a Site Theme

A great way to choose a niche to focus on. On the example site i linked to above you can see that I am focusing on the broad niche “sexy”. You can for instance focus only on “teens” or “naked teens” to make it even more specific.
